Mark Twain Lake

Had a Fishing trip that turned into a drinking trip that included a pyrotechnic show to cap off Saturday night. It turned out to be a complete rain out, that didn't stop the drinks from flowing and enjoying some nice time under the awning while watching the rain. Little TV reception but had a good radio station. This was a good spot for sure and will be on the list again.

Also, If you ever find yourself in Perry MO, be sure to stop in to the Cannon Dam Store. It's Awesome. You can even throw dice in the back.....apparently.

Spent some time on the road this week touring Kansas yet again. This time I looked around and took in the sites. Apparently Coffeyville KS is the last resting place of the Dalton Gang. As they tried to rob the town bank, the residents took maters into their own hands and took them out. Pretty cool.

BBQ Makes Everyone Happy...

So this weekend was my first attempt at coking for a crowd. Since October we have been planning a block party that revolved around shutting down a street and cracking open some beers and some good food while meeting the neighbors. It turned out good. We were able to get McBride homes to sponcer the meat portion of the event so that was awesome. 

I for the first time cooked over 70# of pork shoulders for damn near 18 hours....there were a lot of leftovers but it's all good. Here are some photos....
